Cat6A cable is physically larger than Cat6. This affects conduit sizing, bend radius, and termination time. Teams that have only pulled Cat6 sometimes underestimate Cat6A — we don't.
Cat6A's larger diameter requires upsized conduit. We calculate fill ratios and specify the correct trade size during design — before any conduit is installed.
Cat6A has a tighter minimum bend radius requirement. We train our techs specifically on Cat6A handling to prevent internal damage that standard testing doesn't catch.
Cat6A jacks take longer to terminate properly. Budget for this in your schedule — rushed terminations cause performance failures that are expensive to find and fix.
